Your Work Style: Is there one right way?
Your Work Style is Fine
You have a work style that fits your personality. Ideally, when you embrace your personal style, you experience more creativity and success. For heaven's sake, don't put yourself in a box!
Freestyle women have a loose approach to scheduling and organizing. Her office makes a structured entrepreneur go a bit mad! On the surface, you can appear chaotic and disorganized.
A successful Freestyle female entrepreneur might look like she doesn't have a clue where her papers are, but she knows EXACTLY which pile houses the important documents for her next event. And she knows precisely what has to be done, and when it needs to be completed.
Structure-based women want their ducks in a row. And, to the Freestyle woman, it looks boring and unimaginative. You love bullet-journals, quarterly plans, and have their five-year plan down to the week.
Typically, you'll find a neat desk with an organized planner. And, each piece of the project and plan are neatly filed into a categorized and labeled folder on her computer, or binder on the shelf.
Like most women, I fall somewhere in the middle. The freestyle gal shakes her head at my shelves full of binders and whiteboard organizer, To the structure gal's horror, my desk is usually cluttered and my inbox always needs sorting. But, it works for me.
As I mentioned, your work style is often primarily directed by your personality style. And though we are usually a blend of one or more, I connect these into four primary types: Pathfinder, Promoter, Pilot, and Predictor.
Whatever your style - embrace it. You were created as a fabulously unique individual. So, which one are you? Let me know.
